Clock or Protractor?

Two clocks

I know clocks are meant to measure time and are not intended to measure angles. But, this was so remarkable that I cannot help mentioning it.

I have a wooden protractor and I like to play with it. So I measure all kinds of angles; I particularly enjoy measuring the angle made by the hands of a clock at different times.

It so happened that I had to meet a friend around 6pm. I left home to meet the friend a few minutes after 6pm. Immediately before leaving, I measured the angle made by the clock hands, and it was 110 degrees. I returned home few minutes before 7pm. Call me a nut, but, immediately upon returning, I once again measured the angle, and again the angle was 110 degrees. The clock was working; it had not stopped.

Now isn't that remarkable. Can you tell me how long was I away? When did I leave home and what time did I return?
